Sources and method

Korean dream reading has no single official rulebook. Readings come from traditional dream books, folklore collections, fortune portals and everyday custom, and they don't always agree. Here's how we handle that.

Where readings come from

Each page lists its sources at the bottom.

How we choose which dreams to cover

We start from what people actually search for in Korean. Our list of symbols and variations comes from thousands of real Korean dream searches, so pages cover the versions people really dream, not only textbook symbols.

When sources disagree

We say so. When one book reads a dream as lucky and another as a warning, the page shows both. Folklore about a baby's sex from a taemong is labeled as folklore.

Photos

We use real photographs, credited on each page, from Unsplash and other free-license libraries. Traditional Korean paintings are used where a photo can't show the scene.
